Front Range Staffing is seeking a Saw Operator with experience in metal cutting and MIG welding. Pay: $19-22hr Schedule: Full-time, Monday– Friday Location: Colorado Springs, CO An ideal candidate for this company would possess the following skills and experience:
Cut metal in an efficient manner to maximize production output.
Perform accurate cuts using saws, plasma cutters, or torches, and grind metal as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure correct cutting specifications.
Drill holes, sharpen and shine materials, and transport metal using a forklift.
MIG weld on mild steel using weld prints to produce high-quality welds.
Weld in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
Weld on heavy mild steel ranging from 1/16” to 2” thick.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow all safety regulations.
Participate in physical inventory cycles and year-end counts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to read a tape measure and interpret weld prints accurately.
Strong math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance documentation, and procedure manuals.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to interact effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments.
Forklift training is a plus.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, support metal during cutting and welding, and handle heavy materials safely.
Must be able to work on their feet for long periods, often in hot and/or loud environments, and climb/operate from ladders as needed.
Must have good color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception to ensure accurate cutting and weld quality.
