Front Range Staffing is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager in Colorado Springs. Pay starts between $100,000 to $125,000+, depending on experience. An ideal candidate for this company would possess the following skills and experience:
Require 10+ years of operations management or similar leadership experience in high precision manufacturing, machine shops, or large-scale production, and/or experience working with machinery.
Demonstrate proficiency in meeting product delivery commitments outlined in company contracts, emphasizing timeliness, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Improve and track Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as On-Time Delivery, Quality, Labor Efficiency, and Marginality.
Prepare and monitor weekly KPI reports, material, and labor budgets against actual expenses.
Forecast, budget, and report operational expenses (OPEX), capital expenses (CAPEX) for monthly staff meetings, and quarterly reporting.
Analyze and report Operations/Production KPIs monthly to the management team.
Implement Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement Processes, and Best Practices.
Monitor and adjust production processes to resolve issues effectively.
Lead departmental teams and develop a comprehensive training program for employees to ensure process consistency, faster learning, and higher retention.
Contribute to policy and strategy development with the leadership team to achieve or exceed revenue, profit, and cash flow targets.
Collaborate closely with inventory and purchasing teams to minimize production delays by ensuring material and part availability.
Maintain and update master schedules to establish machine lead times in alignment with sales forecasts or customer orders.
Strengthen, develop, and motivate staff through effective management and accountability, demonstrating exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
Education Desired:
Lean manufacturing, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, PMP Certification is preferred.
BA/MA in Operations Management, Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, or other related disciplines.
Proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, Excel, and ERP knowledge (Dynamics365 preferred).
